Education and Business Biography Alan Jones has over twenty years of teaching experience in London and Cornwall across a range of subjects. He is an inspirational trainer who is able to translate his extensive theoretical knowledge into effective, practical classroom strategies. Alan is an accredited Neuro-Linguistic Programming Trainer and now consults on performance coaching, emotional intelligence, behaviour and motivational issues, peer mentoring, leadership and accelerated learning within both the educational and business communities. He has been an Associate Trainer for the University of the First Age and is working on a number of innovative teaching and learning projects including, Aim Higher, E-coaching, Student Leadership, Thinking Schools, Emotional Intelligence Training, EQ-ualise and recently Magic 4 Learning. As an accredited Edward De Bono Consultant, he is involved in helping schools and individuals develop creative thinking skills projects. He has worked with the Eden Project in Cornwall on the development of their educational philosophy and learning programmes; has been involved in SEAL Transition work in Cornwall through the Parents and Children Together (PACT) programme and is currently consulting on behalf of the TDA on the evaluating the impact of CPD programmes in the South West. His personal passion is in the developing motivational and emotional intelligence/literacy interventions through the SMILE and Project Magic. In terms of Business Coaching, Alan has worked with a number of major companies in the UK on aspects of team development, communication skills and motivation. He is currently working with the School for Social Entrepreneurs as a coach/tutor. He has gained a good deal of experience in the evaluation of professional development programmes and has been commissioned by Local Authorities in the South West to produce a framework for measuring the Impact of Professional Development.

Mentalism and Magic Biography Alan Jones, a Cornwall based Magician and Mentalist , has been entertaining audiences with his unique brand of close up magic for the last fifteen years. As a member of the world famous Magic Circle, not only is Alan a well respected Cornish magician and mentalist who works nationally and internationally, his personality ensures that everyone has a great time, full of mystery and entertainment which is why his clients come back again and again. His audiences are treated to a unique mix of unusual, uncanny, unearthly and unforgettable experiences in which they are fully involved. Alan performs all over the world and his easy going professional approach to his work makes him perfect for any occasion – Corporate Events, Weddings, Private Parties, Product Launches, Trade Shows or Summer Balls. Alan has had the pleasure of being the opening act for Jeff McBride and Eugene Burger; has numerous television appearances to his credit and has had the longest running mind magic radio show on BBC radio. Alan is a Member of the Magic Circle and is currently UK President of the International Magicians Society. He has won awards for his performances and writings for magicians. It is the 'mind magic' aspects of Alan's performances and his experience as an educator and coach that has led to the development of his highly successful motivational presentations and workshops. These have been well received by education authorities, international corporations and business groups throughout the UK. His long time interest in magic and the mind has led to a fascination with aspects of 'the paranormal' - a topic he has written about and researched for the last twenty years or so.
